All a bit foggy this week!
Sunday's Men's Monthly Medal was a bit in and out to say the least, when I arrived just before 7am it was actually a very nice morning but suspicion arose as I continued to receive calls from competitors asking 'if we were playing or not'. Then sure enough 20 minutes later in it rolled which resulted in a one hour delay and plenty of bacon sandwiches being consumed. I then managed to get them all out at 9am, but no less than an hour later with claxon in hand was calling them all back in again. November Stableford…….CANCELLED!
The ladies, however, managed to avoid all the weather on Saturday and Tuesday with this week's winner emerging from Saturday's Business Ladies. A fantastic score of 41 points from Julie Burgess was good enough to take the Alternative and a fine nett 72 from Past Captain Frances Collomosse to take the Vic Ruddle Trophy. It was great to see so many ladies out in this week's competition.
This Sunday morning we have the Great War Memorial Competition which is open to ALL full members. It's a stableford event and I still have a few spaces available so if you would like to play please let me know. I would also like to take this opportunity to remind ALL playing that you must change to jacket and tie for the presentation on this very special day.

The Ten Yard Challenge!
Now over my many years in the game I don't think I have every met a golfer who didn't want to hit the ball just a little bit further. So I am offering you an opportunity to allow me to get you at least another TEN yards on your drive. All you have to do is book in a session on the GC2 simulator (it's nice and warm and definitely dry in there) with either myself or Adam and we will look at the spec of you current driver, asses firstly if it is correct for you and your club head speed. We will then put some of the latest drivers in your hand with what we feel is the right shaft flex, weight and loft to compliment your swing. So if your distance off the tee has dropped or you just want to hit it further (Don't we all), then book in for a session. I'm that confident, if I can't get you another ten yards you'll walk out with a FREE sleeve a sleeve of balls and possibly a couple of technique tips.
