A quieter weekend at the club has just passed us by, with Sunday seeing the Geen Salver, drawn mixed pairs taking place. It's great to see the ladies and the gents playing together at the weekend, and something that, as we go along we will hope to grow over the coming year, with pro shop events and mixed events needing the support of our seven day lady members to keep them going. The winners of the event were Paul Hague and Paula Greenway, with Paula finding out on Tuesday, that her score of 36 was also good enough to win the Ladies Alternative Stableford event. Congratulations on a double victory Paula.
We must also say congratulations to Barbara Bone, who as many of you know, arrives here on Saturdays for the Business Ladies' golf, come rain or shine. In tough conditions Saturday, Barbara managed to shoot 38 points, which was enough to win the Ladies' Geen Posy event for grandmothers. Having looked back over her past scores, Barbara's handicap has been creeping up since the same time last year when she got down to 34 and slowly worked her way back up to 36 two weeks ago. After that round on Saturday Barbara is back to 34, so perhaps don't back her to win another title just yet!
With Easter on Sunday this week, we thought we would keep with the theme and hold a 'scramble' event! If anyone would like to get a game Sunday I'm sure we can 'piece' together some teams! Just click here to get in touch!

Not that it has got anything to do with me turning forty and having to proove that there's still life in the old dog, but I've decided to run the Brighton Marathon again and would really appreciate your support. This year I'm running for both the Men's and Ladies Captain's combined charities, The Rainbow Trust Children's Charity. Please click here for more information on the wonderful work they do.
Training has been going well, a couple of little injuries but all looking good for Sunday 12th April so if you would like to support me and more importantly the Charity, please either click here to visit my Virgin Giving Page or simply email me with you pledge. I would like to thank you in advance for your support and generosity.
