Fully stocked Grip Bar
Are you due a service?
Now is the time to have a look at all the grips on your clubs and if they need re-gripping, drop them into the Pro Shop. With the huge stock of grips that arrived yesterday, we will have them done, cleaned and ready for collection overnight. For more advice and to be measured up for grip size, please just drop in. |  |
Test the latest technology
As you can see, we now have ALL the TaylorMade and Callaway NEW product out on display and we have loads of DEMO bits as well.
So, pop in and have a look around the corner in the Pro Shop (trust me you can’t miss it) and we can have a chat about taking clubs out on to the course to try or popping in the Swing Studio as, trust me, the numbers speak for themselves. |  |

Men’s Club Supper
Friday, 6 March
This Black Tie do is probably the smartest of the year, so dust off the Tux and come along to the Club for some great food, fine wine and superb after-dinner speeches. It’s a lovely three-course meal with Coffee and Port to follow for just £30 per head. Guests are very welcome. So, come and give the Captain a great send-off. Sign up at The Entertainments Board.

Away Day with The Men’s Captain
Friday, 6 March
Join the Men’s Captain, Steve Brown, for an away day down to one of Surrey's finest, Camberley Heath GC in Bagshot. We’ve arranged coffee and bacon rolls from 11:00am with a midday tee off all for a discounted price of just £56.50 per head. (normal green fee £85). This is one of my favourite courses in Surrey and if you haven’t played it, I can highly recommend that you do. The list is up on the Men’s Comps board. So, why not make a proper day/evening and stick your name down for this and then onto the Club supper in the evening.

Captains Drive-In Carvery

Come and watch the Ladies, Junior and Men’s Captain Drive-in and then head up for a lovely Carvery Lunch. Always a popular day so get your names down quickly. Two-course Sunday Roast with all the trimmings £19.00 per person (under 12’s £12.00)

Last week we revealed a remarkable statistic regarding the number of golfers playing grips that are over a year old, but what impact does that actually have on your game? Well, we decided to do some digging... |
 | | Tension whilst gripping |
Grips are made from rubber and are prone to wear and tear, just like the tyres on your car. When they become worn, your grips will lose tackiness and your hands will start to slip during the swing, resulting in poorer shots.
The thing is, you’ll likely overcompensate by holding on to your clubs too tight, creating more tension and stiffness during the swing.
