Men's Monthly Medal
On Sunday, the men held their Monthly Medal, and despite the heavy rain overnight the course was looking in amazing shape. I know other courses locally were closed so we did well to get the competition played. We are very lucky with our natural drainage and it shouldn’t ever be taken for granted.
In Division Three it was clear winner Chris Blackman who took the crystal-ware with a fine nett 66 beating Rich Jenner and Tony Heat with nett 69’s. Division Two was won with a nett 69 from Alan Rhodes and Division One was taken by John Phillips with a very tidy nett 67 to beat Mike Dowdell into runners up spot with a 70.

Captain and Pro Challenge
This Sunday, I actually got out playing myself in a very enjoyable Captain and Pro Challenge against the pairing of Richard Foot and Lee Alderman. As I say we had a cracking game and it was close all the way round. I had a chance to nick it on the last but we ended all square so thank you to Rich, Lee and The Captain for a very enjoyable round. Our next available date is the weekend of the November Medal so if anyone would like to take us on please let either myself or the Captain know. |
New car
A big thank you to the chaps a Shelly Motors Kia, down on the Blenheim Industrial Estate in Epsom, for dropping off the NEW Kia Sportage GT Line. It’s a great car and I think looks really good in black.
This week, I've had three sets of clubs and a trolley and four of the lads in Theo's footie team plus training kit all in the back - not at the same time of course but there's plenty of room in there!
Pop in or call 0203 130 6713 for a test drive. |

Men's Captains ‘Stag’ Away Day Friday, 15 November This year Steve Brown, The Men’s Captain, has gone for something a little different from the norm. Instead of the Stag supper, he has organised an away day at the lovely Mannings Heath Golf Club. We will be playing on the Waterfall course and coffee and bacon rolls will be from 9.30am and Lunch and prizes will be done after play.
The cost is £57.50 per head but once I have a number down I will look at the price or organising a coach to take us and drop us back at the Club afterwards for a couple of drinks.
Should be a cracking day and I for one will be there so if you’d like to join us head to the Men’s Comps board to add your names to the list.
