What a great start for the Men’s Captain
On Sunday we held a Pro Shop Stableford with a healthy field heading out to battle finally in glorious sunshine. Now, they do say that sometimes when you take up office as Captain your golf can sometimes suffer but this is clearly not the case for this year’s Men’s Captain, Steve Brown. Having only just ‘Drive-In’ two weeks ago he finds himself presenting the winners voucher to himself! With a cracking 39 points he narrowly beat George ‘new Callaway irons’ Cowdrey on countback. Congratulations Captain, what a great start to your year.

Epsom Pro Am 2019 Friday, 19 May
Yesterday I put up the members entry sheet for the Pro Am in six weeks’ time and already we have half a dozen teams up there. If you would like to add your members team then please pay you £189 entry fee behind the Bar and we can then add your team to the list but hurry as it always fills up fast. And for your information a members’ team only has to contain one member, so guests are welcome to fill the other one or two spots. It always proves to be a great and very popular day, if you require any further information then please do not hesitate to get in touch. |

Motocaddy M1 Electric trolley and accessories offer
I have a special offer if you are looking for a NEW or upgrade your current Motocaddy Electric trolley: The NEW M1 folds down incredibly small with equally small but powerful battery that charges up in no time at all, if you have a small boot or not this is the one for you.
The folding mechanisms is the simplest that Motocaddy have every produced and we have it on offer for £499 - SAVE £50 (£549 on Motocaddy website). However, we are also throwing in an accessories holder, umbrella holder and a scorecard holder which totals about £50 worth of FREE accessories! I only have one of these on offer but I’m sure I could have my arm twisted on the second one in stock. Call to reserve ASAP! Click here for more information on this product. We also have a great selection of Motocaddy golf bags in stock that are perfectly compatible with the trolley. |
Running on empty? If your electric trolley is struggling to make it round 18 holes then it might be time you upgraded its battery. There's been a huge push towards Lithium batteries in recent years as they last longer, charge quicker and are more lightweight than previous Lead Acid equivalents. So, if it's time you change your electric trolley battery, bring your old one in-store and enjoy £25 OFF a brand-new Lithium one. |

The way St Georges Day fell this year the closest Sunday was Easter Sunday so I have made this four-person team event a shotgun at 8.30am so that if you need to get away for Easter Lunch, we should have the presentation done and dusted by 1:00pm(ish). The format is ‘Sixes’ which is best two on the first six holes, best three on holes 7 -12 and all four to count on the rest! It’s a great format so if you would like to enter again head to the Men’s Board and if you don’t have a team let me know and we’ll get you paired up. £20 per team. |
Boa constrict your footwear |
There's been two major trends in the golf footwear market in recent years: the first is the surge in spikeless shoes, and the other is Boa. So, what actually is the Boa Fit System and is it anything to do with snakes? |
| FootJoy UltraFIT Boa golf shoe
|
|
No, it's nothing to do with snakes. Phew. Rather, the Boa Fit System has revolutionized footwear for the better and we absolutely love it. Instead of using traditional laces, Boa utilises a steel wire (virtually unbreakable) that is effortlessly tightened via an easy-to-use dial strategically placed on the shoe (seen above). To loosen, simply pull out the dial and open up at the tongue. |
With FootJoy's UltraFIT Boa, which is available in-store now, you will be guaranteed a comfortable fit every time safe in the knowledge that your laces will not come undone or get tangled throughout your round. If you haven’t already experienced Boa, then we implore you to come down to the store and try on this fantastic option today - no obligation. |
