This week's results...
I want to start this week by congratulating Colin Harris on his wonderful 'hole-in-one' on Sunday, a superb shot on the 3rd and that makes two aces for Colin now. All the members in the lounge bar on Sunday thank you for their drink!
Sunday was the penultimate round of the Men's Winter League with still all the places to play for. This week's winners, moving themselves well up the table, were the pairing of Trevor Cowley and Malcolm Walker. So this Sunday's is the final round, but can anyone catch the league leaders John Rice and Bill Allison? The final round format is always 'aggregate medal' which always sorts the men from the boys! I'll give you the winners and final placings in next week's email.
What's coming up at the Club?
Men's Club Supper - The Men's Club supper will be held on Friday, 18th March, always a great night with great food, great company, funny speeches and normally a drop or two of vino. So dust of your Tuxedos and get you and your friends names down on the entertainments board as its filling up quickly.
Three course meal and port - £32 per head.
The Captain's Farewell Bash - Come and join our Men's and Ladies Captains in their farewell competition, it's a shotgun start followed by a choice of chicken curry or lasagne for lunch with prizes galore to play for. Teams of four playing 'The Game of Cards' format that will all be explained on the day but I must say is a lot of fun. Again the sign up sheet is on the entertainments board.
Golf only - £5 and golf and lunch - £12.50. Always proves to be a great day.

We need your clubs!
The new 'Trade-in for credit' scheme has proved very popular in the last couple of weeks with clubs being shipped off every day. However, I may have to put a slight restriction on age as I have received some real golden oldies, I think we have the best opportunity of the clubs being taken if they are within 20 years of age. So if it's old wedges, drivers and sets of irons, pop them in and we can get you a quote and you can put the credit towards something you really need or simply on your account for a rainy day.
